Information on the plenary session of the Grand Chamber of the Court
On Tuesday, March 16, the Grand Chamber of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine at the in-camera part of the plenary session proceeded with consideration of the case upon the constitutional petition of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner for Human Rights on compliance of Article 90, paragraph 2.1 of Section XI “Final and Transitional Provisions” of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service” of December 10, 2015 №889-VIII, Article 21.7 of the Law of Ukraine “On Service in Local Self-Government Bodies” with the Constitution of Ukraine. The Court will proceed with consideration of this case at one of the further plenary sessions.
At the session of the Grand Chamber the Ruling was adopted on consideration of the case upon the constitutional complaint of Taras Zayets on the constitutionality of the provisions of Article 88.3 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges” of June 2, 2016 №1402-VІІІ at the public part of the plenary session in the form of written proceedings.
