The Constitutional Court of Ukraine will hold 4 scientific and practical conferences on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of Ukraine
The Constitutional Week dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of Ukraine is to start in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on June 14 and envisages holding a series of thematic events.
On June 14, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine together with the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University with the support of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine organises a scientific and practical online conference “Constitutional values in official and academic constitutional doctrines”.
The purpose of the event is to discuss topical issues of constitutional justice at the present stage, in particular the problems of access to the body of constitutional jurisdiction, protection of fundamental human and citizen’s rights and freedoms.
On June 16, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine together with the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, the National University "Odessa Law Academy" with the support of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine organises a scientific and practical online conference “The role of constitutional justice bodies in the human rights protection mechanism“.
The purpose of the event is to discuss the current mechanisms of effective constitutional proceedings, access to constitutional justice (theoretical and practical aspects).
On June 18, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine together with the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with the support of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine organises a scientific and practical online conference “The principle of separation of power and its guarantee by constitutional justice bodies”.
The purpose of the event is to discuss the constitutional basis of the functioning of state power in Ukraine.
On June 24, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Constitution of 1996: Ukraine within the framework of European constitutionalism” will take place at Yaroslav Mudryi National Library of Ukraine (1 Hrushevskoho Street, Kyiv). The event will be held in the mode of a hybrid online conference.
The conference is organised by the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission), the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine with the support of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine and the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ).
Judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, former judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, members of the Assembly of the Research Advisory Council of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, representatives of the scientific and academic community and international experts will take part in the events.
