7 Sessions of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Were Held
Today, June 17, the Grand Chamber of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine at the in-camera parts of the plenary sessions considered cases upon the constitutional petition of 51 People's Deputies of Ukraine on the constitutionality of the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language" and the constitutional petition of 47 People's Deputies of Ukraine on the constitutionality of certain provisions of Article 6 of the Law of Ukraine "On Television and Radio Broadcasting", Articles 15, 15-1, 26 of the Law of Ukraine "On Cinematography". Consideration of these cases will be continued at the further plenary sessions.
The Grand Chamber will proceed with consideration of the issue of initiating constitutional proceedings in the case upon the constitutional petition of 46 People's Deputies of Ukraine on the constitutionality of the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine "On Appointment of Serhiy Shkarlet as Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine" at one of the further sessions.
In addition, 7 rulings on extending the term of adopting rulings by the Boards of Judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on initiating or refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings in cases upon constitutional complaints, were adopted at the session.
Sessions of the Third Board of Judges of the First Senate and the First Board of Judges of the Second Senate were also held, during which issues concerning initiating constitutional proceedings in a number of cases were considered.
As a result of their consideration, 3 rulings (final) on refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings were adopted: upon the constitutional complaint of Vadym Kryvokhatko on the constitutionality of the provisions of paragraph 3.10 of Section XI "Final and Transitional Provisions" of the Law of Ukraine "On Civil Service", the constitutional complaint of Yuriy Kozachuk on the constitutionality of certain provisions of Article 272.3 of the Code of Administrative Procedure of Ukraine, as well as constitutional complaint of Vladyslav Duda on the constitutionality of provisions of Article 309.3 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
