On Wednesday, February 22, the sessions of the boards of judges of the First and the Second senates were held. At these sessions, the issue of the initiation of constitutional proceedings in cases upon the constitutional complaints was considered.
The Third Board of Judges of the First Senate adopted a ruling (final) on refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings in the cases upon the constitutional complaint of Mykola Milinchuk on the constitutionality of Articles 34.1 and 34.5 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
In the case upon the constitutional complaint of Serhii Vodolahin regarding the constitutionality of paragraph 2 of Section I of the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the Status and Social Protection of Citizens Affected by the Chernobyl Disaster” on Increasing the Level of Pension Security for Certain Categories of Persons” of June 29, 2021 No. 1584-IX, the Third Board of Judges of the First Senate adopted a Ruling on the initiation of constitutional proceedings. Issues related to the constitutional proceedings in this case will be considered at a session of the First Senate.
The Second Board of Judges of the Second Senate adopted a ruling on the initiation of constitutional proceedings in the case upon the constitutional complaint of Artur Boyarov on the constitutionality of the first paragraph of Article 380.5 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. Issues related to the constitutional proceedings in this case will be considered at a session of the Second Senate.
