28 February. The Sessions of the Court and the Board of Judges: Rulings Adopted

Tuesday, 28 February, the Grand Chamber at the public part of the plenary session in the form of written proceedings continued to deliberate the case upon the constitutional petitions of 48 People’s Deputies of Ukraine on the constitutionality of the Law of Ukraine “On Amending Some Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Conditions of Circulation of Agricultural Lands”, Specific Provisions of the Land Code of Ukraine as amended by the said Law and of 53 People’s Deputies of Ukraine on the constitutionality of the Law of Ukraine “On Amending Some Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Conditions of Circulation of Agricultural Lands”. In this case, the Court adjourned. Its deliberation in the public part will be continued at a forthcoming plenary session.

Also, the special plenary session of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine was held during which the judges deliberated the statement submitted by the former judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Stanislav Shevchuk. Its consideration will be continued on 1 March.

Furthermore, the session of the First board of judges of the Second Senate was held during which the judges adopted 4 rulings (final) on refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings in the cases upon the constitutional complaints of:

- Bohdan Zakhariyiv on the constitutionality of the rule of Article 680.5 of the Civil Code of Ukraine;

- Ivan Maiura on the constitutionality of Article 610.7 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine;

- Joint Stock Company “First Ukrainian International Bank” on the constitutionality of the provisions of Articles 142.1, 33.2, and 2791.5 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Proceedings;

- Oleksandr Lupeiko on the constitutionality of a specific provision of Article 402.1, the rules of Article 423.2 and 423.3 of the Code of Civil Procedure of Ukraine.
