The Approved Agenda of the Court Sessions for July 6. Plenary Sessions and Sessions of the Grand Chamber

On Tuesday, July 6, plenary sessions and sessions of the Grand Chamber of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine were held.

The Grand Chamber at the in-camera part of the plenary session proceeded with consideration of cases upon the constitutional petition of 51 People's Deputies of Ukraine on the constitutionality of the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as a State Language" and upon the constitutional petition of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner for Human Rights on the constitutionality of Article 90, paragraph 2.1 of Section XI “Final and Transitional Provisions” of the Law of Ukraine “On Civil Service” of December 10, 2015 № 889-VIII, Article 21.7 of the Law of Ukraine “On Service in Local Self-Government Bodies”.

The Grand Chamber will proceed with consideration of these cases at one of the further plenary sessions.

Also today, the Grand Chamber of the Court at its session ruled on the extension of the term for adopting the ruling by the Third Board of Judges of the Second Senate of the Court on the initiating or refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings in cases upon the constitutional complaints of ‘Kvazar’ Private Joint-Stock Company, Oleh Malynnykov, Hennadiy Bilobrov, Olha Doroshko, Vitaliy Lebedev, Dmytro Lysytskyi.
