April 20. Agenda of Court’s Sessions (Approved). At the Sessions of the Grand Chamber Judges Deliberated Cases upon Constitutional Petitions and Adopted 2 Rulings

On Thursday, April 20, the Grand Chamber at the public part of the plenary session in the form of written proceedings deliberated the case upon the constitutional petition of 49 People's Deputies of Ukraine regarding the constitutionality of the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “On the Formation and Liquidation of Districts”.

The Сourt completed the study of the case files in the public part and proceeded to the in-camera part of the plenary session for a decision.

The Grand Chamber postponed the deliberation of the case upon the constitutional petition of the Supreme Court on the conformity of Article 75.4 of the Family Code with the Constitution of Ukraine. It will be deliberated at one of the forthcoming plenary sessions.

Moreover, the Grand Chamber, in the in-camera part of the plenary session, proceeded with deliberation of the case upon the constitutional petition of 64 People's Deputies of Ukraine regarding the constitutionality of specific provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding the Improvement of Banking Regulation Mechanisms” and this law as a whole, specific provisions of the Civil Code of Ukraine, Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, Code of Administrative Procedure of Ukraine, Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine, Economic Procedure Code of Ukraine, laws of Ukraine “On the National Bank of Ukraine”, “On Banks and Banking Activities”, “On the System of Guaranteeing Deposits of Individuals”, “On Executive Proceedings” as amended by the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Improvement of Banking Regulation Mechanisms”. The Court will proceed with its deliberation at one of the next plenary sessions.

The Grand Chamber also combined into one constitutional proceedings the cases upon the constitutional complaints of Serhii Palatov and Ihor Stefurak regarding the conformity of Article 87.3.1.2 of the Law of Ukraine “On Public Service” dated December 10, 2015 No. 889–VIII in the wording of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine and Some Other Legislative Acts of Ukraine in view of  the Implementation of Administrative Reform” dated January 14, 2020 No. 440-IX with the Constitution of Ukraine.

The Grand Chamber ruled to deliberate in the form of written proceedings the case upon the constitutional petition of 49 People's Deputies of Ukraine to provide an opinion on the constitutionality of the Agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation on the issue of Stationing the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine dated April 21, 2010, ratified by the Law of Ukraine “On the Ratification of the Agreement between Ukraine and the Russian Federation on the issue of Stationing of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine” dated April 27, 2010 No. 2153-VI.
