A constitutional petition of 50 People's Deputies of Ukraine lodged with the Constitutional Court
Today, June 2, 2020 the Constitutional Court of Ukraine was seized with a constitutional petition of 50 People's Deputies of Ukraine on the compliance of the Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Prosecution and Punishment of Persons in Relation to Events Occurring During Peaceful Assemblies and Recognition of Certain Laws of Ukraine as Repealed” of February 21, 2014 № 743 – VІІ with the Constitution of Ukraine.
The subject of the right to constitutional petition asks the Court to declare the disputed law inconsistent with the Basic Law.
