Information on the activities of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in May

In May 2024, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine held 49 sessions, including:

  • 4 plenary sessions and 6 sessions of the Grand Chamber of the Court;
  • 3 special plenary sessions and 3 sessions of the Court;
  • 4 plenary sessions and 1 session of the First Senate of the Court;
  • 8 plenary sessions and 9 session of the Second Senate of the Court;
  • 11 meetings of the boards of judges of the First and Second Senates of the Court.

At these sessions, the Court delivered 46 acts:

  • 17 rulings of the Grand Chamber of the Court;
  • 4 resolutions of the Court;
  • 2 rulings of the First Senate;
  • 1 decision of the Second Senate and 6 rulings of the Second Senate;
  • 16 rulings of the boards of judges of the First and Second Senates.

 

In May 2024 58 constitutional complaints were lodged with the Court. Based on the results of the preliminary examination 29 constitutional complaints were distributed among the judges of the Court. 29 constitutional complaints were returned to the subjects of the right to a constitutional complaint as those that in form did not meet the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On the Constitutional Court of Ukraine”.

During this period, the Court's Secretariat drew up and sent 70 responses to requests for public information and appeals from citizens.
