On Thursday, March 9, at the session judges of the Third Board of Judges of the Second Senate deliberated the issue of initiating constitutional proceedings in cases upon constitutional complaints.
In the case upon the constitutional complaint of Serhii Palatov, the judges adopted the Ruling on initiating constitutional proceedings in the part concerning the constitutionality of Article 87.3.1.2 of the Law of Ukraine “On Public Service” dated December 10, 2015 No. 889-VIII, as amended by the Law of Ukraine “On Amending the Customs Code of Ukraine and Some Other Legislative Acts of Ukraine in view of the Implementation of Administrative Reform” dated January 14, 2020 No. 440-IX (hereinafter referred to as “Law No. 440”) and on refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings in the part regarding the constitutionality of Article 87.3.1.3 of the Law of Ukraine “On Public Service” dated December 10, 2015 No. 889–VIII as amended by Law No. 440. The judges will deliberate issues related to the constitutional proceedings in this case at a session of the Second Senate.
The Third Board of Judges of the Second Senate also adopted the Ruling (final) on refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings in the case upon the constitutional complaint of Valentyn Rozhko regarding the constitutionality of Article 54.3 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Status and Social Protection of Citizens Affected by the Chornobyl Disaster”.
