Today, on September 2, 2024, in preparation for the bilateral meeting between Ukraine and the European Commission within the framework of the official screening of the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with the EU law under the negotiation on Chapter 23 “Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights and Freedoms” Judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Viktor Gorodovenko, Galyna Yurovska, and Oleh Pervomaiskyi held a working meeting with Volodymyr Chaban, Judiciary Component Lead of the EU Project “Pravo-Justice”, and Maja Cvitan Grubišin (Croatia), International Expert of the EU Project “Pravo-Justice”, in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.
The meeting addressed a number of important issues in the field of constitutional justice, which will be discussed during the bilateral meeting scheduled for September 2024 in Brussels, Belgium.
The Representatives of the Secretariat of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, who, within the scope of their powers, ensure the preparation of materials to be presented by the speakers in respect of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine to the European Commission experts, also participated in the event.
