September 20. Agenda of CCU Sessions (Approved). The Grand Chamber Deliberated Cases upon the Constitutional Petitions and   a Constitutional Complaint

On Tuesday, September 20, the Grand Chamber at the plenary session proceeded with deliberation of cases:

- upon the constitutional petition of 50 People's Deputies of Ukraine regarding the conformity of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Article 80 of the Constitution of Ukraine (Regarding the Immunity of People's Deputies of Ukraine)” with the Constitution of Ukraine;

- upon the constitutional petition of 53 People's Deputies of Ukraine regarding the conformity of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Combating the Abuse of the Rights of People's Deputies of Ukraine during the Legislative Procedure” with the Constitution of Ukraine”;

- upon the constitutional complaint of Ihor Samsin regarding the compliance of the provisions of Article 54.1.2 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges” with the Constitution of Ukraine.

Deliberation of the above cases will take place at one of the forthcoming plenary sessions.

There was also a session of the Second Board of Judges of the First Senate of the Court to deliberate the issue of initiating constitutional proceedings in the case upon the constitutional complaint of the Limited Liability Company “Halytska Torgova Kompany” regarding compliance of the provisions of Article 19.6.1, Article 389.3.2, Article 394.2.1 of the Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine with the Constitution of Ukraine. Based on the results of the deliberation, a Ruling (final) on the refusal to initiate constitutional proceedings in this case was adopted.
