The Supreme Court submitted a constitutional petition on the constitutionality of certain provisions of pension legislation to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine

On April 3, a constitutional petition of the Supreme Court regarding the constitutionality of Article 114, passages 2, 3 of paragraph 2 of Section XV of the Law of Ukraine “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance” No. 1058-IV dated  July 9, 2003 as amended by the Law of Ukraine No. 2148-VIII dated  October 3, 2017 “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Increase of Pensions” was lodged with the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.

The Supreme Court requests to verify  the compliance of the legislative provisions that “envisage a gradual increase by 5 years of the retirement age on preferential terms, taking into account the relevant length of service and long service pension for employees specified in the above regulations” with Article 8.1 of the Constitution of Ukraine.

The constitutional petition has been distributed to the judge-rapporteur.
