On November 27, in the context of long-term cooperation between the constitutional review bodies of Ukraine and Germany, the delegation of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine headed by Acting Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Serhiy Holovaty paid a working visit to the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany to participate in a number of expert talks.
The President of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany, Prof. Dr. Stephan Harbarth, LL.M. (Yale) together with Vice-President Prof. Dr. Doris König and other members of the Federal Constitutional Court took part in this expert exchange of views on crucial constitutional law issues.
The topics addressed during the working sessions were, in particular, the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine under war conditions and its significance for strengthening democracy and the rule of law, as well as the issue of observing fundamental rights during crises. Judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine delivered their reports on the mentioned issues.
