Oleh Serheichuk Former Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine

Oleh Serheichuk was born on December 8, 1966 in Sevastopol. He started to work in 1987 as a 2nd class sailor at the “Kacha” rescue station, later he was a postman. He served compulsory military service. After graduation from Odesa State University named after I.I.Mechnikov in 1991, he worked as an intern at Nakhimovskyi district people’s court in Sevastopol. 1992– 1993 – acting people’s judge at Nakhimovskyi district people’s court in Sevastopol. 1993–2002 – judge, Deputy Chairman at Nakhimovskyi district people’s court in Sevastopol. 2002–2005 – Head of Sevastopol City Department of Justice. From January till December 2005 – judge at Kyiv inter-regional economic court of appeal. 2006–2010 – judge of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine, Head of the Qualifications Commission of administrative courts judges of Ukraine. In September 2010 he was appointed Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine by the X Congress of Judges of Ukraine. He took the oath of a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on September 21, 2010. Decorated with the Diploma of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Distinguished Lawyer of Ukraine. Specialist in administrative law and procedure, financial and information and data protection law. He is completing his studies in administrative law and procedure for obtaining a degree of Candidate of Legal Sciences. Author of a number of research publications, including on administrative and legal ensuring of legality in the system of public administration. He was a member of the working group of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine on introducing amendments to the Code of Administrative Proceedings of Ukraine. On November 5, 2016 Mr. Serheichuk’s authorities were terminated in view of his death.
