VIKTOR KRYVENKO 

Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine

 

Judge Kryvenko was born on August 6, 1955 in Motyzhyn village, Makarivskyi district, Kyiv region.

In 1980 he graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He served compulsory military service.

He began his labour career in 1975 as collector-riveter of Kyiv Aircraft Production Association named after October’s 50th anniversary.

From 1980 – intern at Kyiv Regional Bar Association, 1981 – 1983 - lawyer at Kyiv Regional Bar Association.

1983 - 1987 – acting Chairman, later Chairman of Makariv district people’s court of Kyiv region.

1987 – 1993 – judge at Kyiv Regional Court.

In 1993 – 1995 he worked as a lawyer.

In 1995 he worked as a seniour consultant at the Department of Generalisation of the Jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

From 1995 – Judge of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

From 1996 – Deputy Chairman of the Judicial Chamber on Civil Cases of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

From 2005 – Chairman of the Judicial Chamber on Civil Cases of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

1996 – 2005 – Chairman of the Council of Judges of Ukraine.

In 2011 he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of Ukraine - Secretary of the Court’s Chamber on administrative cases. He worked as Secretary of the Court’s Chamber on administrative cases of the Supreme Court of Ukraine until 2016.

In November 2015 Mr. Kryvenko was appointed judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine by the XIII Congress of Judges of Ukraine. He took the oath of a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on January 27, 2016.

1996 – 2005 – Chairman of the Council of Judges of Ukraine.

In 2011 he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of Ukraine - Secretary of the Court’s Chamber on administrative cases. He worked as Secretary of the Court’s Chamber on administrative cases of the Supreme Court of Ukraine until 2016.

In November 2015 Mr. Kryvenko was appointed judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine by the XIII Congress of Judges of Ukraine. He took the oath of a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on January 27, 2016.

He participated in drafting the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of Judges", the Code of Civil Procedure of Ukraine.
