VIKTOR KYCHUN

Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine

 

 

 

Judge Kychun was born on 19 June 1968 in the village Velyka Berezna, Polonskyi district, Khmelnytskyi region.

In 1987 he graduated Vinnytsia Polшtechnic Сollege (majoring in „Heat Technical Equipment of Industrial Enterprises“).

1987 -1989 he served a regular term in the army.

In 1994 Viktor Kychun got a degree in law in the Ukrainian State Legal Academy (currently – Yaroslav Mudryi National Law Academy).

1994–1997 – post-graduate student, from 1997 till 2021 – assistant, Associate Professor of the Chair of Constitutional Law of Ukraine at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law Academy.

In December 2001, he defended his thesis to obtain a scientific degree of a Candidate of Legal Sciences („Constitutional and Legal Basis of Relationships of Supreme Bodies of Power of Ukraine and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea“).

On February 18, 2021 upon the results of the competition he was appointed to the office of the Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine by the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor.
