Vitalii Rozenko

 

Vitalii Rozenko was born in 1939 in Vasylkiv, Kyiv region, in a family of a military servant.

He graduated from Lviv special secondary school of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Law Faculty of Lviv Ivan Franko State University (at present Lviv Ivan Franko National University) in 1965. Assistant Professor.

From 1957 he served in bodies of internal affairs of Ukraine as a commissioner of the operations section in Teberovla, Ternopil oblast, Chief of the Investigations Section at District Militia Department of Vasylkivskyi region of Kyiv oblast, chief investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ukrainian SSR.

From 1974 to 1985 he worked in the Communist party bodies.

From 1985 – Chief of Staff of the Ministry of the Interior of Ukraine, Deputy Minister – Head of Main Directorates of the Interior of Kyiv oblast and the city of Kyiv, Colonel General of Militia.

1992 - 1994 - Rector of the Ukrainian Academy of Internal Affairs.

1994 - 1996 - First Secretary at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland.

In October 1996 he was appointed Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

At the special plenary session of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine he was elected Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine from October 1996 until October 1999.

Vitalii Rozenko’s authorities as a Judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine were terminated on May 26, 2004.

Vitalii Rozenko died on August 10, 2021.
